Well, there's your problem! Somebody stole your fuses Dude! No, really, they are just hidden VERY well. Take the seat off, look on the right side (if you were sitting on the bike) of the frame under where your seat was. You will see a small box (fuse block). Inside that box are two fuses...these are the ONLY fuses on the WHOLE bike. If one blows, you don't go nowhere! Ahh, the simply built Savage! We don't need no more than two fuses!

Anyway, if you still have trouble locating the so-called "fuse block", just follow the positive cable from the battery and you are bound to come to it shortly. What most likely happend (I hope) is that when he hooked the cables up backwards it blew a fuse, like it was supposed too, before it fried anything else. Sounds like you will still need to get a battery anyway, though. If you have no way to test the battery yourself, if you take it to them, most auto parts stores will check it for you at no cost. Good luck!

Oh yeah, if you look on the inside of the toolbox cover, there should be a small pouch attatched with one yellow 20A (20 amp) fuse. Unless, of course, the previous owner used it and didn't replace it.
